On Friday, 30th June 2023, CCBD Group is thrilled to invite you to a charity football tournament that promises to be an exciting event for a great cause. Held at Chatham Town Football Club in Chatham, Kent, this tournament aims to raise funds and awareness for Place2Be, a renowned children's mental health charity with a proven track record of supporting pupils, families, and staff in UK schools. With over 25 years of experience, Place2Be offers vital mental health support, counselling, and professional training to impact the lives of children and their communities positively.
Place2Be offers a variety of different mental health and counselling services to meet schools' needs, including in-school support, expert training and resources.
For almost 30 years, Place2Be has provided in-school emotional support to children and young people.
Since founding in 1994, we've grown from supporting a handful of inner London schools to working with over 700 schools nationwide.
The services Place2Be offer include:
one-to-one counselling for pupils who are struggling
short appointments to talk about worries, booked by pupils
group work about friendship, self-esteem and other issues
training for school leaders and staff to make schools more mentally healthy
consultations for school staff about behaviour and wellbeing
advice and support for parents to help them look after their child
group programmes using art and discussion to build pupils' self-esteem.
The Tournament
CCBD Group's Charity Football event is a knockout tournament. Players from diverse backgrounds, including local businesses, organizations, and individuals passionate about making a difference, will come together for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and the shared goal of supporting children's mental health.
